Sounds like this don't appear on every record. Kalimba, banjo, a national steel-bodied guitar, let the jammin' begin. Basic, introvert, clear sounds recycling blues and whatever other rhythm feels right.
I know Taj Mahal from the Hula Blues. This is not like that! I was a litte disappointed at first that this record (CBS, INC., 1972) is so 'simple', but after listening again and again it grows on you. This groovy sound brings you to Louisiana, along the Mississippi, while the next song brings you south to Texas. The Pointer Sisters accompany you along the way as well as the double bass. These songs are so pure and clear, don't give up if it doesn't thrill you at first. It will come, I promiss.
