Grunge face, cowboy hat, pistol in hand, poncho loosely swung over the shoulder. Anticipation who will shout first, or whether the Stranger will be discovered. Better yet, when will the Stranger be discovered and how will he not get shot? The build up, the ample time to think about your actions and your next move. Slow but capturing, and right when you almost get distracted the horse start to move, the woman appears, the gang leader makes a move, the Stranger states his business. But never is the bad guy actually bad, there is empathy between the main characters. Honour, to not kill for nothing, to fight for justice - although it being your justice, family justice. Right or wrong can be decided on how you flip the coin.
Did you get all that from the music? Yes and no. Knowing the movies, both A Fistful Of Dollars and For A Few Dollars More, having seen them multiple times, the music takes me effortlessly back to the story and the prairie.
