Gypsy music always fills me with amazement. Upbeat, skilled, lively music, with the harshness and tough reality of life as basic for joyful sounds. This album is no different. Though the cover confused me with a mix of English and Dutch texts and no further details, the music makes me smile. Purely instrumental gypsy orchestra Emil Jaroka brings you a brief but welcome intermezzo from daily focus and musings. And that cello solo Galuska makes you drift away in thoughts when you close your eyes for a second. This records proves again not to judge an album by it's sleeve.
