French language can sound so soothing... especially when a clear voice from a woman speaks rapidly but not hasty. Like Barbara on this record. Happy nor sad but with a serious undertone that life should not be taken lightly. While at the samen time you will get through this, how tough life might be and how unlikely better times might sound.
The Bobino 1967 album was the first live album from Barbara. I have seen a few names of other records still to listen and I know for sure it was not the last! It is actually an anachronism to have the title mention 1967 as it was recorded in december the year before. Nevertheless it was released in '67 by Philips with the easy sounds of Joss Baselli on accordion and Michel Gaudry on the double bass. Just close your eyes and let the music float around you.
